The song Loser by Beck is post modernism because the song doesn't actually make any sense. There is no meaning or message in the song. The lyrics do not blend or go together. Each sentence of the song has its own open interpretation. For example, the opening line goes "In the time of the Chimpanzees, I was a monkey." This line is playing with the concept of evolution and the belief that we evolved from monkeys. This makes the audience think for a second about what the artist is trying to say and where this song is going. It proves a humorous twist on the idea on evolution. As the song continuous there is many odd twists and juxtaposition phrases. This structure is not like any traditional music but rather a just mesh of phrases to have some fun.
